March 5, 2011 – Odor Investigation (Turkey Hill)

March 5, 2011 – At 19:19 Station 4 was dispatched to 336 West Columbia Street (Turkey Hill) in the borough, for a smell of “burning wires” inside the structure. Crews arrived on scene and used Thermal Imagery Cameras (TIC) to check for the source of the odor. It was determined to be a malfunctioning heating unit and all units were placed clear and available by Chief 723 after approximately 25 minutes.
